On behalf of KPX Chemical and HUNTSMAN, today we are excited to announce the formation of
a joint venture named KPX HUNTSMAN Polyurethanes Automotive Co. Ltd (KHPUA).
KPX Chemical, established in 1974, is a manufacturer and provider of high quality polyol systems, which are used in a wide range of national industries in both Korean and overseas market.
Huntsman Polyurethanes is a global leader in MDI-based polyurethanes, serving over 3,000 customers in more than 90 countries. It runs world-scale MDI polyurethanes production facilities in the US, the Netherlands and China, and a global network of more than 30 downstream formulation facilities. Two parties signed officially as joint venture partners, effective from the 1st of August, 2021.
KHPUA is committed to leading the growth of automotive industry by market-driven innovation and value-added polyurethane solutions.
Besides, KHPUA will focus on developing a strategic road map and addressing the needs of fast-changing industrial environment, including the Climate Change and the 4th Industrial Revolution.
With customer centricity being the core value of KHPUA, the new joint venture will develop innovative automotive material solutions that create values for customers and help them stay ahead of competition.
Through close collaboration with its customers, KHPUA will also innovate in the business model operating the automotive industry. Built on the success of KPX and HUNTSMAN, KHPUA is confident to lead in Automotive Polyurethane industry in Korea, and to achieve sustainable growth in the future.
